“To start, Jess DiForte as June, one of the Cook County Jail's six merry murderesses, caught my eye time and time again with her long dance lines and teasing expressions”

-Miranda Keating, Broadway World

ABOUT JESS….

Jess is a professional dancer/singer/actress that resides in New York City. She grew up on Staten Island and has spent her whole life with broadway in her backyard. Through her childhood she was given many opportunities to study with esteemed dance facilities like The Joffrey Ballet, NYCDA, The Rockettes Intensive, and Alvin Ailey. She attended Talent Unlimited High School on the Upper East Side as a dance major. In that time she focused greatly on concert dance while also being able to dance competitively. In 2016 she committed to Chicago College of Performing Arts and spent four years there learning so much about the world of Musical Theatre. She graduated in 2020 with a BFA in Musical Theater Dance Emphsasis. She trained under two strong female leaders, Jane Lanier and Tammy Mader. The program focused on the classics such as Fosse, Robbins, and Bennet.

During the shutdown COVID-19 Jess received her certification in Yoga and has been continuing her practice daily. She loves to begin her days with a flow filled with gratitude. She’s had the luck to perform two of her favorite shows back to back, Cats and Chicago, since post COVID. She was apart of Cats the Musical on Royal Caribbean and Chicago the Musical National and International Tour. Aside from the arts, Jess has a passion for food and loves to cook with her dad. She has all of Lady Gagas albums on repeat and dreams of adopting every dog in the tri-state area. She also spends most of her free time on a treadmill. But truthfully there’s not much to know about Jess if the arts aren’t involved.

“Life is just a bowl of cherries. Don't take it serious, Life’s too mysterious”
